  SKIP AND PRINT SIMPLIFIED INSTRUCTIONS We have what I like to call a little "suburban farm."  It includes 5 chickens, a french angora rabbit, and LOTS of garden...right smack dab in the middle of your typical suburban, cul-de-sac neighborhood.  It embarrasses my teenagers.  Their friends love to tease them about "the farm."   The thing is...I LOVE natural and making things from scratch.  (When I was a kid, I used to pretend the tall grass in the overgrown field next to my house was wheat.  I would pick it and grind it in the concrete rain gutter splash block.  Then, I would go inside and throw a frozen chimichanga into the microwave and pretend it was homegrown. 😂 I am currently living the legacy of my childhood imaginations.  Well...kind of... Fall Harvest Soup Recipe

Fall Harvest Soup Ingredients for Fall Harvest Soup Recipe for Chicken Bouillon Powder *I omit nutritional yeast and just use the seasoning. *I use 1/4-1/2 cup in half filled large pot for broth. 1 small/medium onion or shallot 1 butternut squash, peeled and diced 3 medium turnips, diced 5 large carrots, sliced 5 large baby bell mushrooms, diced 1 handful of chopped kale Optional: Goat cheese, parmesan cheese and pepitas  for garnish Instructions For Fall Harvest Soup Fill large pot to half with water. Add 1/4-1/2 cup bouillon, or adjust according to taste.  Bring to full bubbling boil. Add onion, butternut squash, turnips, and carrots. Boil for 30 minutes, until tender. Reduce temperature to simmer.  Add mushrooms and kale.  Simmer for 15 minutes. Garnish (optional) and enjoy! I hope you enjoy sharing our Fall Harvest Soup along with us!  Happy Dinner.  ðŸ’• Kristen
